BMW is getting the new M5 ready for the unveiling in around a year and a market launch in early 2018. Considering the competition, we can certainly hope for a power increase. Mercedes-Benz E63 has 571/612 HP, while the Audi RS6 (should come out around the same time as M5) will have 650 HP.
The latest Bimmer will run on a V8 TwinTurbo engine with a higher rpm number. However, we don’t expect it to have (much) more than 600 horses. 620 HP is possible, but not confirmed yet.
One button will be in charge of switching from AWD to RWD, so the driver will have the flexibility with these options.
