The new, thrid-generation F95 BMW X5 M is about to arrive in 2020, two years after the unveil of the new X5. The X5 M will be built atop the platform of the upcoming X5.
The new X5 will use the CLAR platform, a new modular architecture that sheds the weight of the models by using lightweight materials like aluminum and CFRP. What this new platform provides are better, more powerful cars with amazing driving dynamics. The upcoming F95 X5 M will feature a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine good for at least 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
