It will take a few more months before the third generation BMW X3 will make its debut. It was recently spotted in South Carolina, USA showing a new wheel design despite the camouflage.
This prototype is a base model so it doesn’t have multi-piston front brake calipers and round exhaust pipes. The wheels are the most interesting though. It shows a multi-spoke design that gives the car a sportier look.
The third-generation BMW X3 is built on the new, rear-wheel drive flexible modular system offering more interior space and a redesigned seating system to ensure higher variability and greater comfort. Thanks to new lightweight construction processes and the use of the new platform, the G01 X3 is about 100 kg lighter than the current X3.
The G01 X3 will begin its production cycle in August 2017 and will arrive at dealers late that year and early 2018. ty features, and advanced telematics, are poised to make the G01 X3 another big seller for the Bavarians.
