No BMW M1 Concept Unveiling at Pebble Beach

Motor Authority reports the possibility of a BMW M1 Concept unveiling at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance. The information was from a press release by BMW of North America that says: “In celebration of its 100th anniversary, BMW of North America will unveil a world premier concept car and a very special, freshly restored classic BMW during its annual press conference which this year will take place at the BMW Living Legends Garage at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca,” said the press release. However, this is not an M1 Concept they were referring to.

No BMW M1 Concept Unveiling at Pebble Beach

Sources say that it is not an M1 Supercar but another sporty concept. What does BMW have in store for us now?

Recently, we have clearly seen BMW’s bias towards creating highly efficient cars and future self-driving vehicles. This makes it even more impossible that they’ll create an M Supercar. There have actually been designs put up for the board’s review but none of them made the cut.

Even if the M1 is not going to be there, the event at Pebble Beach next month, will be extraordinary for BMW. The German automaker will be celebrating their illustrious racing history and 100th anniversary though a line-up of impressive cars.
