BMW Japan surprises us once again with a special edition vehicle. This time, they have released the special BMW 523i and 523d models of the G30 5 Series generation sold under the BMW 5 Series M Spirit Edition.
The BMW 523i M Spirit sedan and the touring BMW 523d M Spirit have the M Sport Package. It also has the M Sport suspension and dedicated steering wheel. In terms of pricing, it is actually placed lower than the individual configurations.
The BMW 523i for Japan is powered by the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder B48, delivering 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque. The good thing about this is is corresponds to the European 520i which means it produces the same power output.
The BMW 523d on the other hand has a four-cylinder diesel B47 delivering 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
