Another preview of the future from the BMW Group launched today: the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 Concept. This is in fulfilment of the promise that they will be releasing concepts of the brand’s future in celebration of BMW’s 100th anniversary. Watch this video and journey into the future of luxury:
Rolls-Royce is a brand from the BMW Group that is focused on luxury. The customer base for their cars are the richest of the rich and they want the most advanced and exclusive features for their cars. The plus side it, they are wiling to pay a lot for it. Rolls-Royce recognises this and so they know that complete autonomy for cars is inevitable in the future. The brand’s take of this though is more focused on the back seat. Rolls-Royce owners often have chauffeurs and though its nice to have a great feeling behind the wheel, it is just not what they will directly experience on a daily basis.
That being said, the interior of the Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100 will be a private retreat. The most interesting feature is “Eleanor”, a virtual assistant that drives the vehicle and also fulfills the customer’s every wish throughout the journey. What could be more technologically-posh than that?
The exterior is stunning, of course. It comes with an elegant clam shell canopy and coach door, that allows passengers to simply stand up and step out of the vehicle. This helps a lot in making sure that they are picture perfect each time they arrive at a destination.
