BMW will unveil a concept version of the new generation Z4 Roadster in a few weeks at the Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance in August. It will then be unveiled in Frankfurt. Check out the video below to see some body design details of the new Z4 in advance!
Notice that while most of the previous test mules only had generic rectangular cutouts for the BMW’s kidney grilles, this one shows the exact shape of the grille. We see now that it is larger, as expected. The vents in the front bumper are also quite huge and filled with a plastic mesh with wide openings. In the back, the exhaust system features trapezoidal exhaust, compared to the round pipes in the E89 Z4. This type of exhaust tips might only be available for the top model of the range.
A classic roadster sports styling is exuded by the really short rear deck and seating position almost over the rear axle. The soft top helps reduce weight but also lowers the center of gravity for better handling.
