[Spy Photos] Next-Gen BMW X5 M

Even before the release of the BMW X5 facelift, the world is anxiously expecting the new BMW X5 M. The Bavarians are working hard and currently testing the upcoming model. The spy photos come from Autocar and show the next-gen X5 M testing near the Nurburgring testing center.

The camouflage can’t hide everything. We can easily see that this is a proper M car with massive quad exhaust pipes, big wheels and fat tires. The power will likely come from a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the same one featured in the F90 M5. This means that 600 HP is the expected minimum. The car will be built on the CLAR architecture (just like the 7 Series) which includes plenty of lightweight materials and new technology.
