The upcoming BMW 3 Series is a highly anticipated model. It is developed under the internal codename G20. It will be going against tough competitors in the segment. If BMW wants to keep the 3 series as the bread and butter of the company, they will need to do it right. Here is a spotting of the 2019 BMW 3 Series:
This is one of the first prototypes in the wild. It was spotted in Nurburgring not showing off much speed. It was actually quite slow in the corners and this can be attributed to the kerb weight.
The previous reports say that the new 3 Series will be considerably lighter than its predecessor. This may improve handling tremendously.
For the interior, we expect a modern update to what we have seen in the past, with a more premium feel.
Possible engines include 2-liter to 3-liter mills. There will also be an M Performance version once the G20 3 Series arrives. The 340i will become the M340i with more power and premium features. It will fill the performance gap between the 330i and the BMW M3. There will also be a BMW M340d model to replace today’s 335d.
The 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged family of engines will first be seen in the 3 Series. There is also a rumor that the Touring model won’t be available in the US.
The new 3 Series will most likely be released to the marker in 2019, since the production of the current F30 3 Series is scheduled to end in October 2018.
