BMW is going to offer a proper M variant for its X3 SUV in the next generation and this is the first in the history of the SUV. Check out the footage below where a BMW X3 M prototype was seen testing on the Nurburgring:
From the footage, it is easy to tell that this version is more aggressive beneath the heavy camouflage. It has much larger air intakes in the front bumper, just like the BMW M2, and also wearing quad exhaust pipes like a proper M car.
In each round, it looks really quick, even through the corners. That performance is impressive for an SUV. It sounds a bit like a turbo straight-six, but no confirmation has been received yet.
