[Video] A Test Drive of the New and Controversial BMW iX

Although the Bavarian brand significantly emphasizes how it aims to stand out, the new BMW iX still gains controversy on its debut. Perhaps we still need to wait if this decision is good or not. For the time being, BMW also appears to be determined in bantering about its new high-tech forerunner. We will find out more about this in this video.

An iconic and familiar BMW 3.0 CS first enters this video. And under its hood, you can hear the nice purring sound of its straight-six engine. Christoph Waltz, an Oscar-award winner, is the one who’s riding this car. This BMW fan enters proud of his classy and pristine CS.

In this video, Waltz is driving to meet BMW’s one-and-only CEO, Mr. Oliver Zipse at BMW HQ. The plan was that both of them will check out the new BMW iX. The slow reaction of Waltz when the BMW iX veil was taken off was quite interesting. In fact, you can clearly see how his face kept going blank. It seems that it was a disenchanted feeling for the new car.

Of course, Zipse takes the lead in enlightening Waltz about the whole idea for the BMW iX. He explains the limited character lines on the sides and the massive-looking grille. Waltz still seems unconvinced and decides to hop on in and test the BMW iX. The rest leaves us with their conversation about the past of the BMW brand and some jokes about it. Check out the video, along with the handy subtitles, to find out more about the new BMW iX.
