BMW of North America invited a few automotive journalists to an one of their annual M Track Days. This was held in COTA, also known as the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin, Texas. This track is super exciting because of its unforgiving corners also used for F1 races. What better way to test its performance other than asking Matt Mullins, BMW Chief Driving Instructor and Clive Owen’s double and stuntman in the BMW Film ‘The Escape’, to drive them in a few hot laps.
This Long Beach Blue M2 is just one of the many M cars at that event that was decked out with the entire range of M Performance Parts. It wears black kidney grilles, black side gills, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber front apron, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler lid, side M Performance illuminated door sill, M Performance exhaust system with titanium tips and M Performance coilover suspension.
The M Performance brake kit was also fitted to the M2, with the typical blue calipers. The final touch on this project are the M stripes which give the M2 that sporty and show off look. For the interior, this M2 comes with the full carbon fiber treatment, from the dashboard inserts and M Performance Steering Wheel, to the center console and knob shifter.
