Video: BMW M4 GTS does some Track Donuts

The BMW M4 GTS is probably the most hardcore BMW that can be bought this day – that is if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one. It is able to perform track donuts like no other. From the moment of inception, BMW wanted to exhibit exactly what the M division can do. Though the GTS was only a limited production run of just 700 units worldwide, it made its mark in the automotive scene.

It would be a shame if BMW decided to make this a concept car that would forever be lodged in a museum. No, not this car. The BMW M4 GTS is a car that’s meant to be driven, not displayed. Check out this footage from Top Gear Magazine Italy where a BMW M4 GTS was brought out to do some track donuts.

It was an amazing burnout session! It is a thrill to watch the 500 horsepower BMW beast tearing up the rear tires. The cool thing is that it does its magic on the track without even breaking a sweat. It belongs to the track and that’s very obvious. While some enthusiasts might still prefer the old 4-liter V8 of the previous generation M3 Coupe, as far as straight six engines go, you can’t do better than this.

It you need more convincing that just the sound itself, take note of the performance figures. The BMW M4 GTS reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is at 305 km/h (189 mph) and it goes around the Nurburgring in just 7 minutes and 28 seconds. That’s very close to the insane Italian supercars.
