[Video] BMW M5 versus Audi R8 in a Drag Race

This tuned-up BMW M5 shot to fame on the internet after DSC Off Channel transformed it. Also, it has been racing with other supercars as well. With an 840 HP, it comes with no surprise how it wins all the time. And now, it is up for another showdown with another supercar. Interestingly, this time it’s BMW M5 versus Audi R8 in a drag race.

This 840 HP M5 dragged various supercars like the Ferrari P488 Pista and McLaren 720S. Surely, as expected, the M5 outran them all. But this time, it faced a tuned twin-turbo Audi R8. And we are really looking forward to finding out if the M5 stood a chance. 

With a 5.2-liter V10 producing more than 600 HP, Audi R8 certifies as a real rocket. And that is just the standard R8. But this certain R8 was tuned to have two turbochargers. As a result, this supercar now runs on 850 HP. Further, all power levels really shoot as high as they could. As expected, it became a car in its own league. And because it is an all-wheel-drive, this additional power is not a problem. In fact, this Audi R8 runs as smoothly as before But definitely more powerful.

On the other hand, the M5 runs only 10 HP less than the competitor. As an all-wheel drive, the M5 doesn’t steer away from R8. However, the M5 got some problems to look at. For example, its weight is heavier than the R8. Also, it has a less aerodynamic design that may affect its power. And all these are expected to affect its overall performance.
