How do you tame a proper, badass race car like the BMW M6 GT3? For the inexperienced driver, this will be extremely difficult. The car is a beast that requires more control and intuition, especially in high speeds or fast corners. Modern race cars are engineered in such a way that the more you push it, the better it drives and the safer it becomes.
The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah recently sought out to tame the BMW M6 GT3. Farah is experienced in driving race cars so he knows what he is doing. Turner Motorsports worked on this particular M6 GT3. They added a little LCD indicator that tells the driver if the tires are hot enough. It was little use though for Farah because it communicated via different colors and he is color blind. Thankfully, he still did well.
The feedback was amazing. Even if the new BMW M6 GT3 is the biggest, most powerful and fastest GT3 car BMW has ever built, it’s also probably the easiest to drive. Thanks to the BMW engineers, it has incredible stability and tenacious grip, making it easy to push hard, all while building the confidence of the driver.
The noise was absolutely fantastic. You get to listen to the actual gearbox and engine. There’s no sound deadening material or extra thick glass or any Active Sound technology – just an orchestra of mechanical noise. We can listen to it all day!
