As we’ve reported, the new BMW X2 will be premiered at the Paris Motor Show this September. In the latest news, there might also be the M Performance version of the X2. While there will be some similarities between the X2 and the existing X1, they will basically be two very different vehicles.
For example, both models will feature 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder engines, but the X2 will receive a high-performing B28 that will also be used on an M Performance version. We still don’t have the confirmation about the model name (it might be M35i), but it’s almost certain that it will have more than 320 HP.
The X2 will be more similar to the X3 than to the X1 in terms of prices. That’s no surprise considering the premium quality materials and parts used and the fact that it will provide plenty of customization possibilities. The Coupe crossover is expected to be available on the market in early 2017.
