BMW M4 GT3 Secures Historic Win at Monza

The latest race in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe at Monza brought a surprising twist, with a Bronze Cup car taking the overall win for the first time. In a thrilling and chaotic three-hour contest, the #30 BMW M4 GT3, driven by Jens Klingmann, Ahmad Al Harthy, and Sam De Haan, defied the odds to claim the top spot. This victory marked a milestone for the WRT team, as they secured a one-two finish and celebrated an unprecedented achievement for a non-Pro class car.

The race was filled with intense drama from the start, with the #30 and the #32 BMWs involved in early collisions. Despite being nearly a lap down, the teams executed flawless strategies, allowing them to make a remarkable recovery. Under immense pressure, Klingmann held his ground in the final laps, delivering a stunning victory, while the #32 car of Sheldon van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor, and Charles Weerts finished in second place, also winning the Pro Cup.

Other teams faced contrasting fortunes. Despite showing strong potential, ROWE Racing encountered setbacks, with the #98 car failing to start due to damage sustained in qualifying. Meanwhile, the #998 BMW briefly led the race but was ultimately hampered by a pit stop issue, pushing it down the order.

Century Motorsport also performed well, finishing second in the Bronze Cup. As the season heads toward its finale, the excitement continues to build, with teams preparing for the next showdown in Jeddah.
