BMW M Motorsport has been putting its upgraded M4 GT3 EVO through its paces at the Nürburgring since May, preparing for its official debut with racing teams later this year. The extensive testing, led by seasoned drivers Jens Klingmann and Augusto Farfus, revealed that the EVO’s modifications significantly enhance the car’s performance. These updates include new anti-roll bars, larger rear brake discs, a more responsive differential, and aerodynamic improvements like smaller mirrors and larger air outlets.
During the test sessions at the challenging Nordschleife, both drivers expressed confidence in the car’s capabilities, noting its exceptional drivability and the ease with which they could push it to its limits. According to Klingmann, the EVO’s base setup was strong right from the first lap, which bodes well for fine-tuning the car ahead of its competitive debut.
Starting in November, the M4 GT3 EVO will be available as a complete car or an upgrade kit for existing models. It’s set to make a high-profile debut at the 24-hour race in Dubai this January, with British team Century Motorsport confirmed to field the car. US racing enthusiasts can look forward to seeing the M4 GT3 EVO in action at the Rolex 24 at Daytona later in the month. As anticipation builds, this latest iteration of BMW’s GT3 platform will significantly impact the racing circuit in 2025.
