Rumor has it that the 2012 BMW M5 ran the famous Nurburgring lap in just 7:55 minutes. This is according to FastestLaps, a website dedicated to tracking the lap times of new vehicles in the popular race track. If this is true, then the new M5 will be much faster than the previous model, which was timed at 8:13. This number also makes the 2012 BMW M5 the fastest vehicle in its class through improved engine power, chassis, and overall technology.
