The 2021 BMW X7 M50i comes from Carolina, where a special project is available from the local dealer Hendrick BMW. Not only is this the top X7 model, but it also features one of the most unique colors you can get from BMW Individual today. We’ve seen it before on the M4 and M3 or on the M6 Gran Coupé. Grigio Telesto Metallic is not a novel BMW owners. But the seven-seater BMW SUV gets the Grigio Telesto for the first time.
Grigio Telesto is a Lamborghini color, so seeing it in a big car is very rare, but it still looks the part. The dark grey, paired with black accents, is simply stunning. Without being too much in your face, it gives the X7 a very premium and luxurious look. Despite of the kidney grill being oversized.
Engine
This X7, being the M50i model, is powered by a revised N63 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 that began life in the BMW M850i and found its way into other models of M Performance. That means 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque is provided by the large X7. The latter of which is accessible at an impressive 1,800 rpm. The power allows the 2021 BMW X7 M50i to accelerate in 4.5 seconds from 0-60 mph. In an SUV which weighs as much as a medium-sized mountain, that’s extremely fast. When fitted with summer tires, the top speed is limited to 155 mph (130 mph with all-season tires).
Within, several beautiful crystals around the gear shifter and iDrive knob are carried into the Glass Application Package. Also the dashboard is wrapped in leather with some nice dark wood. Inside the center console, the two wide LCD screens match well while the cockpit maintains the traditional BMW driver-oriented philosophy.
For this Grigio Telesto Pearl Metallic, there is no word on cost, but previous projects demanded at least $5,000 for the paint. The 2020 BMW X7 M50i in the U.S. starts at $99,800, but it can easily leap over the $115,000 mark with a few options and bundles.
