Surprisingly, BMW suddenly revealed the updated M3’s interior. You might even think that the company’s staff made a mistake. However, the German luxury carmaker just really wanted to show off its new infotainment. BMW confirmed that all cars manufactured from July this year would have the iDrive 8 as standard infotainment.

The M3 in this photo is the M3 Sedan G80 and not the Touring G81. Since the Touring will debut in June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it will not have the iDrive 8.

As seen in recent bimmers, the iDrive 8 carries a fully digital 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also comes with a 14.9-inch touchscreen; a huge curved glass frame protects both of these screens. We are already familiar with this style since the electric i3 sedan has the same setup. The i3 sedan made a successful debut in China last March.
