AC Schnitzer presents their BMW M2 project. This car is lighter, sportier, and more dynamic in performance. The BMW M2 now delivers 420 horsepower, and that’s a big increase from the standard 370. This was achieved through the optional AC Schnitzer chargecooler that increases the efficiency of the engine for maximum motorsport feeling and a sustained, smooth power delivery.
AC Schnitzer added a silencer with valve control to the exhaust system. It comes with two “Sport†or “Sport black†tailpipes in right/left combination. It then delivers a sound reminiscent of a professional athlete. The “Sport†and “Sport black†tailpipe trims is also available individually.
AC Schnitzer also added in-house RS coilovers to improve handling. The system will work well for relaxed cruising and fast sprints, thanks to it being fully height-adjustable, with compression and rebound setting and lowering by 30 – 40 mm. The AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit, with lowering by 25 – 30 mm at the front and 15 – 20 mm at the rear, also provides maximum driving stability.
For the exterior, AC Schnitzer added lightweight body parts such as the carbon front side wings (2 pcs. per side), carbon “Racing†rear wing (export), carbon rear diffusor and carbon mirror cover are some of the changes made to the body. Combined with the AC Schnitzer front splitter and rear roof spoiler, they provide perceptibly more downforce and maximum stability at high speeds.
For the interior, there’s the AC Schnitzer aluminum pedal set, aluminum foot rest, keyholder and handbrake handle in silver or black. The AC Schnitzer aluminum cover for the BMW-specific i-Drive Controller and the velours footmats complete the interior concept.
Custom 19 and 20 inch wheels developed in-house by AC Schnitzer are also available. AC1 wheels or AC1 forged alloys in BiColor or matte anthracite, and Type VIII and Type V (BiColor or anthracite) forged alloys, are also available. Furthermore, Type VIII wheels (BiColor black, silver or anthracite) and Type IV rims in BiColor black can also be purchased.
