691 HP 2016 BMW X5M by Shiftech

The 2016 BMW X5M and X6M are at the top of what BMW has to offer these days. They run on V8 engines, the most powerful ones by the Bavarians yet. But if you think that’s enough for everybody out there, you’re wrong.

The guys at Shiftech tuning took the job of making the BMW X5M even better than it already is. The standard version uses a 4.4-liter TwinTurbo V8 and makes 575 HP and 750 Nm of torque. The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, relying on an all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox.

Shiftech is offering an upgrade that will take your X5M to 691 HP and 852 Nm of torque at a ‘reasonable price’. We have to say, we thought something like this would have a greater price tag than €1,290.

The Swiss tuner gives a 5-year warranty on this upgrade and can reverse the process if desired. In order to keep the warranty, the owner must follow the servicing rules of the tuner. They also offer to fix up the malfunctioning engine free of charge, in case of some problems.
