BMW 1 Series M Coupe Production has begun

German press reports that the production of the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe has began on March 1, 2011 at the Leipzig plant. The first deliveries will happen in May, but some production models will also be seen and used in the upcoming press drives.

Powered with a BMW M-power twin turbo inline six-cylinder engine, its average consumption is 9.6 liters per 100 kilometers only — offering consumers with power, sportiness and value. It delivers 340 horsepower and accelerates in 4.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

The demand for this vehicle has already exceeded BMW’s expectations. Thus, the allocation will be very limited in various countries around the world.
