BMW 320i EfficientDynamics in Singapore

Singapore. The BMW 320i EfficientDynamics, which sets the benchmark as the most efficient premium car of its class, is now retailing at Performance Motors Ltd.

BMW 320i EfficientDynamics is resolutely oriented towards a highly-consistent reduction in fuel consumption. It is powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder combustion engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 170hp and torque up to 250Nm from 1,500 – 4,500 rpm. It can reach 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds.

The BMW EfficientDynamics measures, which are fitted as standard on the other variants, are complemented on this model by an optimisation of the engine management, better aerodynamics with a lowered chassis by 10mm, reduced rolling resistance and a default-setting in ECO PRO mode, unless otherwise selected by the driver. Once the car is engaged in ECO PRO mode, everything is geared towards maximum efficiency from pedal recognition to gear recognition. The best point at which to change gear is also optimised, and the heating and air conditioning strategy is adapted intelligently. This results in an average fuel consumption of 5.4 litres per 100km (as per average EU test cycle) and CO2 emissions of just 127 g/km (as per average EU test cycle).

Consequently, in terms of efficiency, the BMW 320i EfficientDynamics places itself in the forefront of BMW’s range of petrol-driven models.

BMW EfficientDynamics
BMW 320i EfficientDynamics comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It links up with the Auto Start-Stop function that comes as standard. Compact and exceptionally efficient, the eight-speed automatic brings together shift comfort, dynamic performance and efficiency of the highest order, making it the perfect partner for the new sedan’s dynamic potential. As components of the BMW EfficientDynamics technology line-up, the Auto Start-Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration, and need-based operation of ancillary components also play their part in reducing fuel consumption. Added to which, the new Driving Experience Control switch not only offers Comfort, and Sport options, but also ECO PRO mode, which gives all the models in the range the potential to further improve fuel economy. This switch helps to influence the style of driving and enables drivers with maximum fuel economy.

Intelligent lightweight design brings further reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The use of lightweight materials play a significant role in reducing the weight of the new BMW 320i EfficientDynamics and in delivering high passenger cell safety standards, combined with a significant increase in strength. At the same time, these measures also help to ensure superior driving dynamics. Intelligent lightweight design is integrated into all areas of BMW vehicle development work and into all components, from the body and engine to the suspension. Materials used include high and ultra-high tensile steels, a hot-stamped B-pillar, plastics and state-of-the-art composites. There is also increased usage of aluminium components in the engine and suspension systems to further reduce the weight of the relevant assemblies.

The BMW 320i EfficientDynamics comes standard with the; 16-inch light alloy wheels in Streamline style with Runflat tyres, Multifunction sport leather steering wheel, Comfort-access, Park Distance Control, Navigation system Business, and more.

The new BMW 320i EfficientDynamics is available for viewing at Performance Motors’ showroom.
