BMW 6 Series Shooting Brake will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show

BMW Product development chief Dr Klaus Draeger has accidentally confirmed that BMW has just built 6 Series Shooting Brake version to widen the range of the next generation 6 Series. The Shooting Brake designed by Adrian van Hooydonk is ready to be shown at the Paris Motor Show in October 2010.

The Shooting Brake concept might also use the Gran Turismo name. The reception that the Shooting Brake will get at this event would probably be the deciding factor on whether this vehicle would get the green light for production or not.

Draeger also confirmed that the Gran Coupé will positioned close to the new 6 Series and will arrive in 2012. It will offer a more practical vehicle for those who need something in the middle of a 6 Series two-door and a 7 Series. Unlike its competitor’s the BMW Gran Coupé offers a saloon bodystyle, which is most favored in the Chinese market.

It will have the BMW’s 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol and diesel units, and a range-topping 4.4-litre V8. Draeger confirmed that there will also be a hybrid version.
