BMW Group Becomes Cannes International Film Festival’s Official Partner

For the first time, BMW Group becomes the official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival. The luxury brand will provide 163 purely electric and hybrid vehicles for the festival. And this includes the most-awaited BMW i7.

The 75th Cannes International Film Festival will happen from May 17 to 28. Even though the official debut of the i7 will take place at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, we’ll see it roll for the first time at the festival. The early public appearance of the i7 will surely not ruin its official debut a few days after.

Indeed, the luxury electric sedan suits the film festival with its 31.3-inch Theatre Screen. This enormous screen also features a 32:9 format with an 8K resolution. It even has a built-in Amazon Fire TV! Talk about the perfect car for those who love movies on the go.

BMW promises to provide three BMW i7s for the festival along with other remarkable vehicles. Fans can expect the appearance of the iX, i4, and iX3. However, we got no news if BMW Group will include the i3 in its set. This decision is probably because the i3 will end its production in July.

BMW Group will be hands-on in taking care of their hybrid vehicles. They will manage the transfers between different locations and events, airports, and hotels. Clearly, the company wants nothing but the best treatment for their masterpieces, especially the i7. We are all excited about the i7; therefore, it will be interesting to see it on the road.

We can expect more hybrid vehicles on the 2023 lineup for the Cannes International Film Festival. The BMW Group will include a powerful i7 M70 packed with 660 horsepower at the 2023 festival. In addition, the luxury brand seems to prepare for a rear-wheel-drive i7 with a single motor for the coming year.
