BMW i8 Spyder Approved for Production?

Bimmerpost reports that the BMW i8 Spyder has just been approved last week for production for a late 2015 introduction. The i8 Spyder will share the i8 Coupe’s powerplant and drivetrain. It will look very similar to the i8 Spyder Concept and the i8 Coupe. No official confirmation has been made by BMW regarding this matter.
