Yesterday, BMW introduced the new BMW K 1600 B motorbike. If it looks familiar, it’s because it was based on the “Concept 101”, which was introduced last year at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
This exclusive, high-performance motorcycle runs on a 6-cylinder in-line engine and offers 160 horsepower. It was announced as “The Spirit of the Open Road” and that title is completely on point.
The color choice is elegant black-on-black while the overall design resembles the motorbikes popular in the U.S. Some noticeable design features are the drop-shaped silhouette, the deep-set side cases, and the fully chrome-plated silencers.
The K 1600 B uses a lot of the technology seen on the K 1600 GT. The rear is completely redesigned, making the bike more slender and reducing the passenger seat height.
The wind deflectors were stretched to the back to ensure better weather protection. Mirrors are both beautiful and functional, ensuring the good view of the traffic while perfectly fitting into the design.
The bike has two modes – “road” and “cruise” and the electronically controlled Dynamic ESA chassis. It also features a convenient feature of reverse assists.
You can pack it with a wide variety of Motorrad accessories, such as passenger’s foot rest.
