Every car in this battle is unique. The BMW M140i is a rear-wheel drive hot hatch that packs a 320 hp turbocharged I6 engine and a six-speed manual with an open-differential. From the Ford Focus RS, you get a 2.3 liter turbocharged 350 hp four-cylinder engine, six-speed manual and all-wheel drive with a fancy differential and electronics to keep everything grippy. The Honda Civic Type R uses a 306 hp 2.0 liter turbo-four with a six-speed manual and front-wheel drive. They are all equally powerful and could be a good choice for anyone who is selecting a hatchback.

However, each car has exciting strengths and a number of individual weaknesses too. When compared side by side, these are revealed to see which on is the best.
