In 2017, the BMW 2 Series will celebrate its 4th birthday! It’s exciting because we all know what that means – facelift.
The real news here is that the BMW M2 will tag along and get some new clothes as well, even though it’s a considerably newer model.
The question here is: how can the cars that have been proclaimed the best by many sources be upgraded? First of all, the changes will be minor. We’ll probably see some new design details in the front and rear, with upgraded taillights and headlights. Maybe some new tech perks will be included as well.
The 2 Series engines will likely be upgraded to the B47 and B48 with slightly updated horsepower. We’re still puzzled about the M2. It will probably keep the N55 engine, judging by the other M models that never get their engines upgraded, but don’t be surprised if it gets replaced with a B58. That scenario would even provide a slight increase in torque.
