BMW M3 Pickup by Mad Dog Racing

Mad Dog Racing from South Africa remembered the April’s Fools prank BMW did a few years ago. They decided to actually make a pickup based on the BMW M3 E92.

This is not a joke project by any means. The final product is a fully functional car, good for everything from helping you with construction jobs to running on the track. MDR guys essentially cut the back lid and a part of the roof and modified the M3 into a pickup. We honestly can’t say it looks better than the original, but it’s quite okay at least.

What they didn’t do is modify the way trunk opens. You can see on the pictures how that looks like.

Guessing whether or not BMW will actually make a pickup car has been going on for years, but it’s likely that Bavarians will soon have to adapt to that market as well, especially with Mercedes already making cabs, trucks, and vans.
