At least as far as we’ve been told, BMW M is never going to make an M3 Touring. However, enthusiasts remain hopeful with this idea. These new renders we have allow us to get a peak at what a G81 BMW M3 Touring might look like if it were actually made. It’s impressive.
We know that this great looking car, G21 Series Touring, is one of the best looking wagons in the market. And giving it the extra features and thrill of an M3 will surely make it even better. Such as a more aggressive rear bumper with quad exhausts suits really well with its rear end design. An extra aggressive rear diffuser, a lower suspension and bigger wheels can also be found on some M3 Touring renders, and its certainly much cooler.
Sad to say, such car will only stay as an idea. Any immediate or future plans for the M3 Touring has not been stated according to BMW. Information claim that high places within the ranks of BMW are deliberating whether or not an M3 Turing should be on the move. And sadly, that’s the closest we’re ever going to get to an M3.
It is truly unfortunate as no other generation fits better for a Touring body style than this new generation of BMW M3. Just pause and imagine this perfect fit: a twin-turbocharged I6 S58 with a minimum of 473 horsepower; a six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive with a long room; and stowage for five people and luggage. A daily driver doesn’t even get any better than that, do they?
We hope that BMW will take the chance to flip the script on the new BMW M3’s narrative – mostly ruled by funky grilles. Like maybe offering it in a new wagon body style as well.
