BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 GT3 models debut appearance on the track

The BMW M GmbH unveiled the BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 GT3 models for the first time. It was during the run-up to the MotoGP “BMW M Grand Prix of Styria”. These two vehicles were presented in a camouflage look specifically designed for this purpose. Since their final design will be disclosed until a later date.

According to Markus Flasch

The CEO of BMW M GmbH. He was the one who performed the first lap in the BMW M4 Coupe on the Red Bull Ring.

“I am very pleased we are able to present both the new BMW M4 Coupe and the new BMW M4 GT3 together here. As title sponsor of the ‘BMW M Grand Prix of Styria’ and long-term partner of MotoGP organizer Dorna Sports, I cannot think of a better place to hold this special premiere. The BMW M4 Coupe and its motorsport counterpart BMW M4 GT3 are the icons of the BMW M GmbH and prime examples of the technology transfer from motorsport to series production – and back again. From the outset, both vehicles were developed parallel to each other. So they both have the same genes.”

The new BMW M4 Coupe will be available in two versions. Just like with the new BMW M3 Sedan and all other current high-performance cars of BMW MGmbH. Each case will also include a Competition model with 375 kW/510 hp and an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Aside from a variant with 353 kW/480 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission.

The newly built6-cylinder straight engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and a high revival concept is the main component shared by all the BMW M4s. The high-performance plant has been developed from the outset, based on the efficiency characteristics derived from motorsport directly. This is not only the advantage of the BMW M customer racing teams, who will also deploy the BMW M4 GT3 in many GT series worldwide. It also elevates BMW M4’s road-legal vehicles to a new level of driving pleasure.

According to Philipp Eng

The driver of the BMW M4 GT3.

“I can’t wait to take the BMW M4 GT3 onto the starting grid. The BMW M4 GT3 will already take part in its first race next year. And will be able to prove how it performs under competitive conditions. I am sure that it has what it takes to continue the long-standing and successful tradition of BMW M vehicles.”

The BMW M4 GT3 will eventually replace the BMW M6 GT3 as a top model in BMW’s customer sports offering. This will be from 2022 and following the selected competition events in 2021. The BMW M6 GT3, which has already won Spa-Francorchamps 24 hours during its first year since 2016. Was also a part of the BMW Motorsport portfolio, to outperform this success only with two years of a double victory.

However, prior to the release of the new BMW M4 Coupe, final intensive testing remains to be done without special camouflage design. The official world premiere is scheduled to take place in September 2020. One thing is certain. Just days after the BMW M3 Coupe appeared on the Red Bull Ring, One of the MotoGP pilots battling for points and placements will have the chance to drive an icon of the BMW M GmbH. As the ‘BMW M Grand Prix of Styria’ winner will be rewarded with the exclusive BMW M4 Cup of 2021 models. Which will take place from the 21st until the 23rd August.
