Here’s a footage of a BMW M4 GT4 Race Car with Eisenmann Race Exhausts, showing off its awesome sound on the track. This footage was taken around Monza circuit. This Ekris M4 GT4 is a track-only version of the M4 F82 Coupè, which has been modified to compete in the GT4 European Series. Take a look:
The BMW M4 GT4 will challenge all teams participating in the European GT4 Series this year. However, this awesome car has more torque than what the GT4 Series can allow so it has to cut back. The rules and regulations of the GT4 championship require that the M4’s stock engine reduce its torque. In its standard form, the BMW M4 GT4 delivers 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. To participate in the race, the car needs to be limited to a maximum of 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. In terms of power, the limit is 430 HP max. The BMW M4 GT4 has no adjusting to make in this factor since its maximum power is at 425 HP.
Note that this particular Ekris M4 GT4 also had to make sure that the exhaust is not that loud, as a part of the regulations. Also, the vehicle had to be fitted with a welded roll cage. This is to comply with the latest FIA standards requiring it to have a fire extinguishing system on board. Aside from that, they’re free to use any performance-enhancing upgrades.
For this particular car, there was extensive use of CFRP to make it weigh as light as possible. It uses a manual BMW 6-speed gearbox with Power Blip and standard active oil cooling. If you’d like, the M4 GT4 can also be fitted with a sequential 6-speed gearbox or a specially developed pneumatic paddle shift system. The mechanical limited slip differential and Sinter clutch are standard features.
The chassis has 2-way adjustable Bilstein shock absorbers for suspension, while the electromechanical power assisted steering can be adjusted to the needs of the driver. To help keep up with the power, six piston Monobloc racing brake calipers and 378 mm discs up front with 4-piston 355 mm disks were put behind BBS 18-inch wheels.
