Brandirectory released their 2014 list of most valuable global brands. BMW was ranked as the second most valuable auto brand (#17 overall) while Toyota was listed as the most valuable automotive brand (and #11 overall).
As with any brand ranking lists, the methodology behind the brand valuation has a huge impact on the ranking order. The components used to determine the valuations on Brandirectory’s list were Brand Strength Index, Brand Royalty Rate and Brand Revenues.
