BMW ParkingAssistant for Apple OS devices

BMW releases a new application for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch called ParkingAssistant. This application is a useful tool for those that make use of meter parking. What BMW Parking Assistant does is to send you a signal in advance to remind you of your parking ticket expiry. Parking time can be set once you leave the vehicle. It can also turn in to a car finder tool allowing to locate your vehicle on huge parking lots. Here is a description of the app as provided in iTunes:

The new ParkingAssistant from BMW has finally put an end to the annoying problem of expired parking tickets. Now you can attend important appointments or run errands in peace, without constantly having to look at your watch or work out how long your parking ticket is still valid. BMW ParkingAssistant sends a signal in advance to remind you before your parking ticket, permit or parking meter expires.

– Takes into consideration the amount of time you need to walk back to your vehicle
– Route to the parking space is displayed

When parking your car all you have to do is start the parking time. Two different viewing modes ensure that you always have an overview of the remaining parking time. The time it takes you to get back to your vehicle from your current location on foot is automatically taken into consideration and displayed in the time calculation. The route display on your iPhone makes finding your vehicle child’s play. Wasted time searching for your parking space and level in a multi-storey car park will now also be a thing of the past.
