TheDetroitBureau interviewed BMW North America CEO (and former M chief) Ludwig Willisch and got some interesting information about future M Cars and 3 Series vehicles. Willisch  mentioned that BMW aims to use more carbon fiber products for the M brand, and in the future standard 3 Series models. He also said that an M7 flagship M model is still being considered as a viable competitor to the Audi S8 and Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. Here is a recent rendering of the M7:

Killing all rumors of an M version of smaller SAV models, Willisch said that the company has no plans to build an X1 M or X3 M3 crossovers. But BMW will offer a range of accessories through its new M Performance Automobiles line that will be able to beef up the smaller crossovers – and other models in the BMW line-up for customers who don’t want to move all the way up to a full-bore M edition. First of these is the M135i Coupe.
