BMW plans to hire 2,000 more employees this year

Reuters reports that BMW plans to hire 2,000 employees in 2011. This is more than the expansion that they had initially planned. BMW Chief Executive Norbert Reithofer confirmed the news himself. He also said that approximately half of the employees they will be hiring would work in Germany.

Making record sales again last month, BMW outshone its rivals for the first quarter of 2011. It will be a smart move to prepare for the demand of the following quarters especially in China and the United States. They have a fourfold increase in operating profit anyway, and they are using it very smartly.
