SINGAPORE (Reuters) – German premium car maker BMW expects its Asian sales to grow 10-15 percent this year to a record after it sold 2.6 percent more cars in Asia in 2004, the company’s chief executive officer said on Wednesday.
Neck and neck with DaimlerChrysler’s Mercedes-Benz in the race to be the world’s top maker of premium cars, BMW sold nearly 95,500 automobiles in Asia last year and aims to raise that to 150,000 by 2008, chief executive Helmut Panke said.
