BMW Third Quarter Sales Leaders: New X1 & 5 Series Sedan

The new BMW X1 Sports Utility Vehicle exceeded BMW’s sales forecast expectations. Deliveries of the new X1 reached record high in the third quarter of 2010, together with another crowd favorite, the new 5 Series sedan.

The 16% sales increase for the month of September was a very good ending for the third quarter for BMW. CEO Norbert Reithofer is very happy about their sales reports.

BMW’s goal is to sell 2 million cars and SUVs by 2020. For this year, BMW plans to deliver 1.4 million vehicles.

BMW still has a lot of new vehicles up their sleeves. The new front-wheel-drive technology for BMW and MINI models, revamped 1 Series compact, and revamped 3 Series sedan within the next two years are included in BMW’s future plans, just to name a few.
