BMW will unveil refreshed 6 Series coupe in Shanghai

To follow up the slight unveiling of the 6 Series Coupe concept car at the Paris motor show, BMW has revealed the production version of the new 6 Series coupe. The production vehicle will be making its first public appearance at the Shanghai motor show in April.

BMW also announced that the BMW 640i coupe will be sold at 74,700 euros in Germany. It is 9,000 euros cheaper than the cabriolet model. A diesel model will also be introduced to the line up. These models will also be manufactured in Germany.

BMW is also developing the M6 coupe successor, but the vehicle will not be seen in 2012. It will replace the 5.0-liter V10 engine of the outgoing model for a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 unit.
