BMW X3 Claims Best All-Terrain Vehicle Award For 2007

Authority German Magazine "Off Road" has named the BMW X3 SAV (Sports
Activity Vehicle) as the All-Terrain Car of the Year (2007).

Voted by readers, it has won the first place twice in a row by 56,448 readers
who polled. The BMW X3 was placed more than 10 percentage points by its next
competitor, and held 24.2 percent of all votes.

The DAV (Deustsche Allrad Verband), the German Four Wheel Associate awarded
BMW as an appreciation by the group’s enthusiasts and owners of 4WD vehicles
for BMW’s advanced xDrive four wheel system. The electronically module which
controls the drivetrain distributes power and control evenly between the front
and rear axles of the car, providing it an optimal driving experience for the
driver.

There were a total of 113,997 units sold globally, an increase of 3 percent
compared to 2005. It also holds about 10 percent market share for all terrain
vehicles in Germany alone.
