Special-edition cars require a special and unique outer appearance. Thus, both are painted in an exclusive paint finish of BMW Individual Frozen Dark Silver. Enhancing the exterior of the cars, while the matte finish that goes along with it highlights the strong points and M details of the body. BMW Individual Frozen Marina Bay Blue is also available as an option, one of the BMW special finishes. Furthermore, it’s available ex-factory for BMW X5 M COmpetition, BMW X6 M Competition, BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7.

The limited-edition cars also come with exclusive M light-alloy wheels in star-spoke design painted with a Jet Black, high-gloss finish. The front wheels are in size 21-inch while the rear wheels are 22-inch. Selected body elements on the exterior are made from carbon-fibre-reinforced (CFRP), including the exterior mirror caps for both cars. Meanwhile, the rear spoiler of the new BMW X6 M Competition has an M Carbon element. This makes the car race-track ready. Also as part of the First Edition Specification, the engine compartment has a M Carbon cover.

Inside, it is fitted neatly with BMW Individual Merino full leather in an exclusive two-color Silverstone/Midnight Blue. Practical aesthetics for the M multifunction seats come from the Black Alcantara inserts and contrast stitching in Sakhir Orange. To match the leather-covered instrument panel, the BMW Individual headliner in Alcantara is likewise in Midnight Blue.
