California Gives 30 Self-Driving Car Permits, Including to BMW

The State of California has given 30 self-driving permits for the automakers who want to test their autonomous vehicles on the country’s roads. The list does not include only famous automakers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Ford, but also Silicon Valley top tech companies, including Apple, Google, and Uber.

In order to get the permit, the companies had to prove to the Department of Motor Vehicles they have skilled drivers in the cars at all times.
