There have been plenty of interesting BMW projects lately, including some crazy unique BMW Art Cars. But this BMW i3 Spaghetti is not one of them, and the creator wants everyone to know that.
The man behind this project is Maurizio Cattelan. He and Pierpaolo Ferrari, the photographer, got together and created this special car in honor of the opening of 2016 Rencontres d’Arles Festival of Photography. The event will happen from July 4 till September 25, and the design will remain on the car only until the end of the venue. The designer claims it will be destroyed once the event is over.
The artist had something fun to say about this BMW i3 Spaghetti:
This is by far the best Spaghetti Car I have tasted! All those years of perfecting definitely paid off! Totally awesome! I have been disappointed in my efforts to make a good spaghetti sauce since I started cooking 37 years ago.
The president of BMW France, Serge Naudin, had something to say as well:
The long-term cultural commitment of BMW France evolves around photography. It comes natural to count us among the admirers of Maurizio Cattelan. As for creating “art,†we love what he does and we love it just as much when he does not do anything.â€
