Former BMW employee takes hostages at BMW’s French headquarters

An armed former BMW employee became irate and took at least two people hostage last Monday at the BMW French headquarters. Reports say that the receptionist and one sales person of the headquarters  located at Montigny-Le-Bretonneux, a Paris suburb, were held hostage.

With his weapon, the hostage taker fired gun shots into the air. He also attempted to burn the headquarters down. Good thing he surrendered to police and the situation was resolved without any casualties.

BMW has not yet released a statement about the incident, and the motive for the hostage taking is not yet confirmed.
