Photos – ItalDesign’s BMW Nazca C2 Redesigned after 20 years

Italdesign Nazca C2 or Italdesign Nazca M12 was a concept sports car designed in 1991 by Italdesign. What makes this concept interesting is the iconic BMW elements included in the design. Under the bonnet, the car was equipped with the Neuromotion FC6 engine from BMW delivering 660 horsepower and a top speed of 185mph. A race-spec version of the car called the Nazca C2 was presented at the 1992 Tokyo Motor Show. In 1993, a Spyder model was released. Twenty years later, Dutch designer Sabino Leerentveld resurrected the Nazca C2 in a new form and shape. This fresh concept brings out a new design. It features sculpted aerodynamic flanks, EfficientDynamics-inspired nose, pillars cleverly secreted behind its massive glasshouse, and a luxurious leather for the interior. This new concept is 4400mm long, 1990mm wide and 1110mm high with a 2710mm wheelbase. The design even looks very close to a production ready vehicle.
