Autocar reports that in the 2016 CES at Las Vegas, BMW will once again surprise the crowd with a concept car: a refreshed version of the BMW i8 Spyder Concept.
The car is expected to be nearly production ready, with improvements to the i8’s connectivity and safety systems, some improvements to the powertrain and battery pack are expected to increase its electric-only range above the 23 miles.
The i8’s plug-in hybrid powertrain will likely carryover, while getting an updated battery pack and a potential increase in power. The current i8 makes 360 horsepower and hits 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
