A new generation of the BMW X1 has been unveiled! The BMW X1 is one of the most successful models of the premium carmaker; garnering over 800,000 units sold. In China, more than 200,000 units of this car has been sold and this region remains one of the strongest markets for the BMW X1. That being said, BMW has taken the already great vehicle and redefined it with the needs of the Chinese consumers in mind. The result is the long wheelbase X1 version exclusively made for the Chinese market. The BMW Brilliance Tiexi plant in Shenyang, China will be producing the long-wheelbase version of the new BMW X1.
The long-wheelbase allows the car to be very spacious in the rear and also offers a very versatile space. Quality has been brought to a higher level, especially in the cabin. Aside from having innovative equipment, it also has the DNA of a Sports Activity Vehicle. Thanks to the BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and the latest version of the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system, the car offers only the best efficiency and driving pleasure.
Specs wise, the combined fuel consumption is 7.3 – 6.1 l/100 km [38.7 – 46.3 mpg imp], combined CO2 emissions of 173 – 146 g/km), and is comes in three different power options. The first is the BMW X1 sDrive18Li powered by a three-cylinder petrol engine matted to a standard to a six-speed Steptronic transmission delivering 100 kW/136 hp. The BMW X1 sDrive20Li and BMW X1 xDrive20Li models is powered by a a 141 kW/192 hp four-cylinder petrol engine matted to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. Lastly, a four-cylinder unit mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission generating a peak output of 170 kW/231 hp is under the hood of the BMW X1 xDrive25Li. Customers can choose between xLine and Sport Line models.

If that’s not enough then use the tilt-adjustable backrest function of the rear seat bench, look at the large panoramic glass sunroof, and use the lighting package with switchable orange/white ambient lighting which further makes the space pleasant.
